The only stupid Americans they had to fool were Dems in the House and Senate and their voters. The rest of us knew the truth all along, and many of their voters figured it out before the next election.
^^^ You must be blind and deaf if you think the Dems were trying to get input from the Republicans on BarryCare. It was a socialist bill rammed through Congress at the last hour before they lost the House.Repeal it NOW!
Your revisionist history is admirable. The reality is that we have a president who stood before the American people and said that he would not negotiate with those Republicans.
Popularity of the ACA is increasing despite non-stop criticism by the Fox Destroy Obama Channel. In fact a FOX opinion poll found that Republicans now view The Affordable Care Act 57% more favourable than they do Obamacare. The solution is simple – call it Palincare.
Well DLee, for as many good things you post, I have as many or more in my family and friends who now can’t afford insurance and they lost all their special doctors. Our son was paying 275 a month, now it jumped to 730.00. He lost drs. and can’t afford payments on a 2000. a month income. He has house and utilities and food to pay, so at 44, he gave up his insurance. He puts money aside each month in savings to ppay dr when and if necessary.
As a doctor who has 35 years in this line of work, I can say that Obamacare is flawed, but less so than the system it replaced.
The insurance industry broke the health care system in this country, starting in the early 1980s when the hierarchy changed from “we will pay for what the doctor thinks is correct” to “we will tell the doctor what we are willing to pay for, and that is the correct answer”. We went through HMOs, PPOs, and all sorts of other initials trying to find ways to provide decent care at a reasonable price. All we did was get 5 – 10% increases in premiums every six months, and push doctors to move patients faster, with no emphasis on proper outcome.
Obamacare’s chief failing is that it provides even more power to the insurance industry by creating a forced monopoly. Rates have to rise, partly to properly cover patients that insurance companies previously wouldn’t touch; partly because they can, and they know that most people will ignore their complicity and blame Mr. Obama.
Obamacare is sort of like the vote to increase the debt ceiling: it gives us a relatively brief respite from undeniably horrible consequences, but it does not fix the underlying problem, which again is the insurance industry playing your life against their profit. Repeal alone would be a greater disaster.
Congress has had the power for years to actually create a better system. Congress has done nothing except complain.
Don’t like Obamacare? Challenge your representatives to come up with something demonstrably better. If I have to chose between Obamacare and the previous system, there is no doubt Obamacare is better for more people.
I prefer single payer. I see no other viable option. But what do I know?
Nice try, but the truth is that Dems created 0care with zero Republican input, they rammed it through Congress with ZERO republican votes.Dems OWN this t*rd, lock stock and barrel, 100%. The American people are realizing just how bad 0care is.

That patient must be a liberal. If he were a conservative, the knife would be sticking out of his chest.

The main diff between Obama Care, Romney Care and the Heritage Foundation plan is Obama is bi-racial. Bigotry and Stupidity also apply to critics.

Lisa, why do you oppose people having health care? What kind of “Do unto others” message is that?
