What does ‘book of hash’ have to do with cheekiness? My best guess is that she’s a fat cook and cooks were known for cheekiness, acting above their place as servants. But I’ve never encountered that stereotype.
My apologies t the little kiddies, I did not realize there was nudity in the comic.
I, too, should like to see this page (Feb. 4, 1906).
