    Wow, we should invade!

I know we’ll be treated as liberators, this time.

And it worked great last time, eh?

And another chickenhawk lays an egg in the henhouse. Amazing that the mlitary says “Peace is our profession”, and nut jobs who’ve never served say WAR, WAR, let’s have MORE!

Nobody hates war more than those who were good at it. It’s why we get fed up with those who don’t listen to us.

Next Tuesday, remember those who survived, because we can never forget.

The song lyric gets one word wrong, it should be: “Onward Christian Soldiers, marching OFF to war, with the cross of Jesus . . .”

"W"’s one truth in advertising for the religious rightwingnut American purpose; “crusade”.

“Yet none on the R side would have cut and ran, bugged out, declared it over and left, leaving a vacuum for the most radical and savvy to walk into the mix and take over. Obama did just that.”George Bush, circa 2008, announcing the agreement to withdraw all American military from Iraq by 2010: …our plan is working. You notice I say “our plan.” Today, violence is down dramatically. Al Qaeda is driven from its safe havens. Sunnis, Shia, and Kurds are sitting together at the same table to part — to peacefully chart the future of this country. There is hope in the eyes of Iraqis’ young. The Shia led Iraqi government did not want us there. They wanted an opportunity to exact payback on the Sunnis who were in control during Saddam’s reign. They looked at Iran as a better ally than the US. They got what they wanted. Our alternative was to stay on as an illegal occupier, fighting both sides indefinitely. The American people had no interest in sending their sons & daughters to die where they weren’t even wanted. They still don’t. Good luck to the GOP if they take your advice.http://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2008/12/20081214-2.html

@NeoconMan, @old1953Turning your back to a powerful enemy is not being peaceful, it’s being stupid, that enemy will club on your back and it is what Isis and Iran would do. It’s in their nature, and their religion encourages it. To really discourage a possible threat is to let the enemy know, and show it that there will be consequences to any hostile action. The problem with Obama providing a war is that he will send troops armed with knives into a shooting war. Like everywhere in the world; democrats, liberals and all leftists in general love to talk tough, but the moment someone gets a bloody nose, they cry foul. Everything is half-measure. No wonder Obama has lost so much credibility.

Obama’s popularity has plummeted a whole point over the last year! If it keeps going down, he’ll be where Reagan was. And if it drops down to half where it is, he’ll be tied with W. Bush.

^Tutu has long expressed wisdom, that is actually thousands of years old, and ignored by the ignorant, or just plain stupid.

Only those who’ve never been there push for more wars. Of course it IS interesting that those gaining both the most economic, and political, profits today in America, have either never been there, or are totally nuts because they were.

Why is it Obama negotiates with Islamists but not with Republicans? (Or, to hear WaPo’s Bob Woodward tell it, with Democrats either.)

Just a note: Cheney and Bush Sr didn’t support the Shia in the south, like they did the Kurds, because they didn’t want Shia to kick Saddam out and screw over the Sunnis, and yes, Baathists, who weren’t all that “cool”, but did maintain a degree of control, and didn’t turn things over to Iran to be our “big bad wolf”.

Junior came in with Cheney and they “did” that pooch, royally, and refuse, as do their supporters, to take the “credit” for what they did, at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives.

Iran isn’t nearly the enemy so much as our own stupidity in seeking empire and hegemony.

It is so amazing to me how those on the left cannot make it through not even 1 post without insulting over & over again those that have a different opinion then theirs. Amazing how their idea of tolerance only goes 1 way; much like their idea of a compromise. Liberals = hypocrisy at it’s finest!

War wasn’t good for ending slavery? It wasn’t good for stopping Hitler?
