Man: Lunch hour! Girl: I'm going to eat at my desk and cut out early. GYM/CAFETERIA No apple hockey please Frazz: I take it that works at your dad's office. Girl: It doesn't. But I thought I'd try to establish the pattern early.

I’d have thought that Frazz would know better than to put up a sign like that. If there was anyone in the school who wasn’t already playing apple hockey, they won’t be able to resist now.

Where I worked, If I made a statement like that, they would have said, “Great, then we can expect an extra hours’ work done for free!”

Why not, school prepares them to have off 2 months in the summer, a week at Thanksgiving, 2 at Christmas and a week in the spring and half days once a month while their bosses have meetings

Lunch “hour”??? Try 30 minutes. And that includes wait time at the only adult restroom on the campus (no priority for the fortunate ones with classrooms on the farthest point from aforementioned comfort facilities).

Boss: “I’ve got a better idea: eat at your desk and leave at the normal quitting time. I get an extra twenty minutes of work I don’t have to pay for!”
