What no Katzenjammer Kids? It’s the famous Mutt and Jeff. This strip is likely at least 70 years old! I wish I didn’t remember this stuff.

All I could make out was Jeff laughing because “the boss put one over on the readers” for April Fool’s Day - he did a strip without a “punch”. Mutt becomes irritated, & punches Jeff. Oh,the hilarity.

no good, couldn’t read the web posted strip. Following the link didn’t help. Even following Desultourist’s link didn’t help. At least I could read the comments.

Nice bit- they’re aware of being in a comic strip.

for the record, go to the web posted strip and then click on it—it is magnified again and the lettering is readable…..not funny, probably not worth all the effort, but readable

Mutt and Jeff have done some great April 1 strips over the years. One of the great comics of all time.

I remember when it was Mutt and Joe, and briefly when it was Mutt and Ringo, before Jeff forced his way into the strip. I honestly didn’t think it would last but hey they’re still here today.

Doctor, can I have the rest of my meds now?

I agree with nighthawks - the comic’s kinda lame but maybe part of the joke is in the “Fuzzy 3-D Theme” this week. Blurry & hard to see 3-D’s without those special glasses. Well that & maybe some readers had to get out their reading glasses to find out there is no “punch line” except “Mutt Punches Jeff”. I found it on a different website than the one posted above & could sorta read it to get the gist of it.

Actually, you can read the strip. If you click on the link @ Desultourist, then click on the strip to enlarge. You can enlarge at least twice.

    PossumPete,

We knew the strip was doomed when it became Mutt and Yoko.

It could have been worse - it could have been Mutt & Heather Mills.
