Yet these claims have repeatedly failed to accurately predict events, the actual basis of scientific authority.-Second, our instrument record only goes back for about 150 years, and the earlier part of this data is considered unreliable enough to merit adjustment. Our current pause of 17+ years is more than 10% of this record, and there is also a period of cooling that occurred between1940 and1970. If our current warming pause is too short to support any conclusions then the data supporting a warming trend is also suspect. -Should I expect that if a warming trend does reappear in future years that Global Warming Alarmists will dutifully wait 17+ years before confirming that warming has resumed? I doubt I should. Don’t forget that the post I was responding to called “deniers” “traitors to the human race,” and the pause is still ongoing.-Uncle Joe: you give a possible explanation for the current pause in warming.
