“Used” is probably stretching it. I saw a lot of that stuff in my older relatives’ houses, but didn’t use it (like the butter churn, crank phone, Victrola).

As I scroll through the images, I see quite a few things I remember from my past. Some of the items, like the camera (a Polaroid possibly) and the Victrola (we have a Brunswick), we still have and will likely pass on to our children or grandchildren…

If you want to have fun in an antique store. Just walk up to a sales person and say, Hi, what’s new? Think about it.

My mom and I went into an antique store once and found the exact nut grinder that we were still using. Ours was in better shape. I still have it, but now use a newer one with a larger capacity.

I have my grandmother’s treadle-powered Singer with extra belt and if I ever run away from home, that and my massage table go with me. I can sew and do massage anywhere. We all need escapist fantasies. Not many probably involve antique sewing machines.
