    Its more than just the drugs .Drugs have been around for thousands of years as have drug addicts. The problem here being that since the US has declared WAR on drugs with no lieniancy to addicts ,the price has skyrocketed and so has the profits.Treat addiction like the medical problem it is and take the money out of it and the violence balloon will deflate. Rite now its getting ready to blowup and take alot of innocents with it.
