That’s OK, Uncle Sam. We’ll just go through another year of having no money to spend in this great, new, booming economy!

I don’t think you’ve been to Texas lately. Come to the Energy Corridor here in Houston and try again.

I remember the 70’s when the far left was saying that the next ice age was upon us and that record breaking snow and ice was on the way. Oh wait, that was wrong so they started shouting about global warming and that turned out to be a fraud also. I guess we just have to be prepared for normal fluctuations as we have had since the earth was formed.

It’s subtle, but you can see that Uncle Sam’s house is built with wood. My guess is that it is a very fine house for all of the lumber that has gone into it.

Texas has not created jobs. Texas cannibalizes jobs from other states, primarily by reducing the requirements (safety, pollution, etc.) that corporations have to put up with in other states.

There are more welfare and food stamp recipients in Texas than in any other state. And that will continue, as their workforce is being fed substandard education. Texas textbooks characterize slavery as indentured servitude, for example.

Texas has a nuclear waste dump on top of an aquifer. No problem, though, the maps showing the aquifer have been modified so that the waste dump no longer sits on top.

So, if you want stupid kids, a fertilizer factory down the block that never gets inspected and goes up with a big BOOM, and dirty water and air, Texas is your Valhalla. Safe travel. Let me know how it works out.

I can play this game, too, for all the good it will do us. The reason China has cannibalized US jobs is the same reason Texas has. Desperate and uneducated labor force, and no pollution controls.

Life is a balance, if lived correctly. If not, many things can go wrong in a short time.

In truth, I could give a rat’s patootie what happens to Texans who allow this garbage to go on. If only the damage would be limited to the Texans who are willing to accept the damage. That’s the problem: people are way willing to allow others to suffer in order for their own short-term gain.

If I was like you, I’d characterize every conservative as being just like my previous sentence. I know better.

Someday, with time and practice, you may too.

You want jobs? How about NO tax. But it’s not theft if you call yourself a government, is it. It’s a 23% cost of doing business. Incredulous is right. All taxation is theft!
