“Hello, and thank you for calling Ideas for Cartoonists. My name is Bob. How may I help you excellently?”
“Bob, this is a conference call. You’re on speakerphone. We have a deadline, and none of us has any ideas just now. Can you help?”
“Do you hate Mr. Obama?”
“Sure. Doesn’t everyone?”
“Well, we’ve had good success with drawing him with a golf club or on the golf course. If you can put an unconcerned look on his face, this will help drive the point home. And we recommend that you put it in the context of the world going to hell all at once.”
Obama is trying to solve the nation’s problems. Republicans are trying to defeat Obama. Why?…… so they can again create foreign problems of unprecedented magnitude and ruin of the domestic economy?
Actually, Obama’s economic policies are economically sound and would have greatly helped America. Unfortunately, every policy since the original stimulus has been blocked by Republican anti-Obama intransigence. Most economists agree that the stimulus worked quite well and kept us from a major depression, but it was only big enough for about a year and half and has long since expired. The damaging effects of the the Republican extortion over taxes and debt are permanent. Love your country, vote Democratic.
Oh, and according to the Washington Post, Obama vacation days to date: 150. George W Bush vacation days in 8 years: 879. Jimmy Carter has the fewest vacation days of any modern president (at 79) yet conservatives don’t particularly cherish Carter for his work ethic. The cartoon is pointless, repetitive, and as brainless as modern conservatism.
“You fail to understand that this is no longer intended as parody, but as sad commentary.”
You do not give me nearly enough credit. I understand perfectly. But as a good friend often says, “We heard you the third time”. I just rephrased that.
Yes vote Democrat in November if you think America is headed in the right direction and the last 6 years have been good to you.For the first 2 years, Dems controlled all 3 branches of government and for the last 4 they’ve controlled 2 of 3. Yet they still blame Bush and those darn Republicans for all their failures. Talk about beating a dead horse! But I guess making excuses(instead of personal responsibility) is a way of life for Democrats.
If you don’t like LIsa, then don’t read and don’t comment. Geez, Jen Sorensen and Doonesbury are just a click away. I read those two also, just to see what the imaginary Godless world is thinking

All: “Gee, thanks, Bob.”
“All in a day’s work. Now go make us proud.”

^^ Are you two more disappointed by the lack of a foreign policy or Barry’s horrible economic policy here at home?

Except you’re not supposed to remember that. You’re supposed to focus on hating Obama.
