It is too bad that everyday is a slacker’s holiday because the only people who still work on the holiday get the job done.

Labor Day Weekend = our anniversary. This year, it’s #29. (Although our actual anniversary is 9/3, we always celebrate it the entire weekend.)

There are a few of us who have worked all weekend and will work today even though the office is closed! (work for a veterinary and someone has to tend to the boarding animals and clean the place)

I still don’t get the “Opposite Day” for today’s strip. But happy Labour Day everyone!

“There’s no break from cooking, cleaning, and tending to the kids.”.Sure, there is. Just don’t do it. See if anyone notices. I have known some who went for years without doing it.(People noticed, but the one involved didn’t care.)

Labor day used to be a day to remember what organized labor won for us — five-day workweeks, sick leave, pensions, holidays… I guess this has become opposites day — a day to proclaim how evil unions were!

I thought the same way when I was younger. I called it, “Pregnant Women’s Day.”
