The ‘toon is a white guy, not the guy selling cigarettes. Bad cops shouldn’t be allowed, any more than bad politicians, or military leaders with a “shoot first ask questions later” mentality. Those going into police work DO tend to have “authoritarian” personalities, and therefore, selection and training DOES need to focus on moderation. Still, the VAST majority of police ARE out there to “protect and serve”.
