If Gaza is the repetition of Warsaw Jewish Ghetto, then Herr Danziger is the repetition of Josef Goebbels. And yes, I do have the moral right to say that – half of my family were murdered in Minsk Ghetto in 1942.
The comparison is ill-conceived and appeals to what? I do not recall reading that Jews in Warsaw lobbed missiles into Germany or kidnapped and then murdered German teenage boys. War is all hell according to W.T. Sherman and the Israelis need to do whatever is necessary to protect themselves. If Palestinians are suffering, they should look to their leadership for accountability and it would behoove outsiders such as political cartoonists to be somewhat more balanced. Poorly done.

the Jews in Germany were law-abiding, meek citizens.Hitler’s Extermination Plan was based on Satanic Hatred of all Jews. -The Holocaust is not in any way like the Arab’s Hatred and constant wars against Jewish Israel since May 14, 1948 Independence Day. Arabs could have chosen the UN Partition Plan and celebrated their own State Independence Day in 1948, but they rejected it because they have this eternal mania to own every inch of Palestine and make it Jew-Free!-Any poverty is the fault of Arab leaders in Palestine with hearts of Jihad and total disregard for the Value of Human Life. They have always had the chosen culture of Death taught In their Koran. “Kill infidels for paradise in the afterlife”!
Let’s not forget the persecution in Russia as well, that drove Jews to Palestine. Or forget that the West Bank was taken n an illegal war from Jordan, and Gaza has long been persecuted, and the tunnels are to move food and products past the Israeli blockade far more than for the import of weapons.
Yes, the Jews have been persecuted, but the real history going back centuries reveals they aren’t exactly “peace loving” folks either. The radicals in their midst, like their “most religious” are also the ones Israel exempts from the fighting they’re always pushing for!
It is the defense of Israel (the state, NOT “Jews”) by the religious right fundamentalist Christians, who clearly state that Israel must exist for Jesus to return, and condemn all Jews to “Hell” if they don’t convert to Jesus, that is perhaps the most convoluted “support” ever offered in history.
As I’ve often said, I have nothing against “Jews”, but I DO condemn war criminals, and there IS a difference! BTW, HAMAS also sucks, as many Palestinians state, but U.S. policies have actually never done much in the long run to bring peace, despite the efforts of the Camp David accords.
the warsaw ghetto killed all the jews….not one or two thousands….the Nazi’s did not warn the people in the warsaw ghetto before attacking /killing and sending them to death camps….there isa NO comparison…
“yeh, should just invoke Godwin’s rule and call it a day.”-—Yeah. I am glad that some comments explain the difference between the two situations but this sums things up for me. I respect Mr. Danziger a little less for having published this cartoon.

I have yet to read about, or hear of ANY Islamic/Arab leader stand up and offer to broker peace in this area.
