Joe’s idea is really very clever (will take some tuning to keep on the track, as contact with the ground will tend to pull the slider off the track). I did this at his age with the stairs. Made a cardboard slide down the stairs. It was a lot of fun – until a parental safety inspection pronounced it too dangerous.
