Anytime I was late for work, I was at least an hour late since I had to take the bus. My boss would harp on this, even if I stayed until 11 pm the night before, and nevermind that half the department didn’t get in before 10 am. I used to say, “Intelligent people are not morning people”, which ticked her off to no end since she felt I was implying that she was stupid.
One experience at being late…signing the radio station on….only one time out of some 14 years…supposed to be on the air at 6AM…made it by 6:13…and, at 6:17 the transmitter went down for the rest of the day….should’a slept in!!
