    If you write it on letterhead you can use your “franking privilege” on the envelope and join the spamming crowd and no one will believe you were really serious anyway.

    Didn’t Lincoln write his Gettysburg Address on an envelope? That was one of the world’s greatest speeches.

    Retired Dude: He wrote four versions of the speech, all on regular stationery, none on envelopes. One would have to write very small to get it all on an envelope, unless it were opened up to make a flat sheet first. Just another hysterical legend with no basis in historical fact.
