Unfortunately, schools are acting as a “shoot here for publicity” alarm to the media, and gunmen have noticed.

In my school we had 3 alarm bells, and 3 types of reaction: 1 for fire, 1 for bomb threat, and the 3rd for terrorist attack. The 3rd meant the members of the bisley team, grades 8 to 12, had to trot out immediately to the armoury and get their single-shot .22 rifles; given 6 rounds of ammo and to head off to their assigned defensive posts. :-|

Ahhh, I miss the good ol’ days.

    1. There were two armed officers at Columbine when the “rage” started in school shootings.2. The shooter at Seattle had to reload, and was taken down by a guy with pepper spray and attitude3. In Las Vegas, all five dead were armed, including the civilian at Wal Mart who had a CCP and tried to use his weapon against the “bad guys”, so much for any “good guy with a gun” saving the day.(or himself)

Just pull the alarm and a hundred ‘good guys with a gun’ will appear and completely stop the ‘bad guys with a gun’.

You make it sound like school shootings are a regular part of life. I hope to God’s mercy you are wrong.

School shootings are “down”? Since you imply you know the statistics, you can enlighten us. How many school shootings per year was there in the 1970’s, 80’s, or 90’s? How many school shootings were there 5 years ago?How many school shootings per year is an acceptable statistic?
