As backwards and insensitive Sterlings remarks were, we should be a lot more worried about the invasion of privacy to record personal conversations in order to destroy another person.Who hasn’t said things in the privacy of their own home that they would hate to be made public?

I’m not really seeing where he’s being empathetic or sympathetic. Gov actually has made a couple of valid points about right to privacy and the fact we’ve all said things in the privacy of our homes we wouldn’t want repeated in public. Sterling’s a racist yes. That doesn’t mean he isn’t entitled to some privacy.

In any event, Jase99 actually has the best point. I don’t know the validity of the slumlord accusations. I would like to know more before I cast judgement. But the treatment of tenants in low income housing is indeed a much more serious issue. And frankly, at best, it’s a sideshow in all this.

Jase, you do realize he was telling his girlfriend not to take black men to his basketball games, right?I know many blacks, hispanics and asians that would say the same thing(IN PRIVATE) about whites.Look, I’m not defending the guy. I think he’s an old, elitist and prejudiced man, but this kind of demonizing of people because of their personal feelings and PRIVATE remarks creates a Soviet type of censorship.Any of you who have NEVER said something privately you probably shouldn’t have, welcome to the .0001 Percent of the world.As for the rest of you, your business or home could be taken next.

RUFF: There is such a thing as business ETHICS, perhaps you and Mr. Sterling should look into. Good business ethics are thought by many successful people to be good business practices. Just becuase you can LEGALLY screw someone over, doesn’t mean you should just for PROFITS.
