Sadly, many of your namesake will wholly miss the irony of your astute observation, sir.

Now excuse me, while I light a fine Havana with this pesky $1,000 bill…

At least he’s not constantly subscribing to “bomb first, ask questions later”, as a diplomatic opening statement. Since when DID the U.S. become the dictator to all other nations?

Stopping Serb aggression wasn’t a bad thing, and we lost no troops. Libya was a nasty business, like Tunisia and Egypt, but we lost no troops. We should have acted sooner in Rwanda, but likewise Ike should have stood up in ’56 against Russia to defend Hungary. We should pick our fights, just not constantly with everyone.

We want our children killed! Bush killed thousands of our young people! Why can’t Obama at least kill a couple of hundred of them?

^Hmm, bail out of the airplane you’re in command of, and leave your crewmen to die. Desert from the National Guard you joined to keep yourself out of service in Viet Nam. Hmm, that’s backbone? No, that’s just Bush, father and son, their real “war hero” histories. Backbone?
