Some dogs are terrified of vaccums—the noise, probably. When I was a kid, our dachshund-poodle cross loved to be “vaccuumed” if we took the nozzle off the hose and just ran it lightly above her fur, not touching her. She would lie there with a look of total bliss. I think she liked the sensation. Her fur would be pulled upward by the suction so she looked like a cotton ball. I can’t remember who discovered this, but it was probably my crazy brother.
