The problem with the Keystone pipeline is that is does little for the US. The oil companies love it because it allows them to move oil to the gulf refineries where they can sell product on the world market. Are you wondering why your gas prices are going up?

Too bad you never bother to look at facts or history. By the way Detroit is starting to recover! Oh, yes, The worst economic president who got rid of all our balanced budget was a Bush. And now, thanks to the control of politics by the 1%, we have lost our middle class status to Canada who now has a larger percentage of middle class than we do. They also have a much smaller percentage of poor than we do. But, We have, by far, the higher percentage of wealthy than any other nation (still less than 1%). They just steal it all from the middle class and the poor and don’t even bother to do any work at all! Some of them inherit their millions/billions and have never worked a day in their lives.

Wind and solar ARE developing and improving nicely, but due to their impacts on land base, and “freedom of the air” for birds, they aren’t yet truly “green”, but ARE providing green jobs. Meanwhile Shell’s big proof that exploration in the Arctic, that they declare “safe” led to two instant, and total failures. BTW, there IS still undeveloped oil reservers NOT requiring fracking or drastic actions, but they are on private land, where royalties would be much more expensive than off state or federal reserves, being held in reserve until the OIL COMPANIES set the future prices they intend.

The floating Los Uros islands on Lake Titicaca have solar panels in place, donated by the Japanese during Fujimori’s admin. – I think. It could have been a translation error on my part. Perhaps I heard, donated by the Japanese-Peruvian President Fujimori. At any rate, pre-dating 2000.

Just noted this years big jump in gas prices due to that tragedy known as “Spring Break”, that reminded oil companies that summer and the driving season are just around the corner, so start them price rises soon!
