The problem with assessing the situation in Ukraine (and in Syria, and elsewhere) is that we have learned that we really cannot trust any of our “news” organizations to provide us with the truth. We are being fed the stories that others want us to hear. If we continue down this path, the disagreements will become more heated, yet less well-informed. This is truly frightening, and it plays into the hands of those who want to divide our country between “us” (good guys who know what’s good for our country) and “them” (those who would ruin what makes America great).
