My mom’s lunches consisted of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a little box of raisons (I liked them for the first year or two, can’t stand them now). Then she went back to work when I was 10, so, if I wanted to pack a lunch I did it myself. Didn’t take me long to learn to make a nice, varied lunch of food I liked—no beet sandwiches for me.
