I think the cartoonist is predicting that the very wealthy who buy and sell candidates are likely to be destroyed by the resulting graft, corruption and bribery they inflict on the American people. Ah, if only!

The Dems buy votes by all their giveaways and their enlargement of employment in the public sector. One thing leads to another.

This reminds me of that scene in “The Godfather”, when Vito Corleone warned all the other heads of families that “I believe this drug business is going to destroy us, in years to come.”

It continues to be astonishing how comfortable Republicans/Fox “news” viewers are with Adelson and the Koch Brothers picking their candidates for them — and with how much those candidates are in debt to the Kochs if they are elelcted. .I guess if the selected candidates and office holders hate Obama as much as Republicans/Fox “news” viewers, it’s all okay. Nothing else matters.

Then what are Kleptocrats? I wouldn’t say that any oligarchs are elite (certainly NOT in the sense of “the natural aristocracy” concept of a MERITOCRACY). But their money does sure as hell work for them, instead of them working for their money, of course. (It USED to be satire, for somebody to say, “I’ll have you no that my ancestors worked damn hard for my money!” The oligarchs, plutarchs, and kleptocrats see no satire there.)
