Whoa! That looks to be one small animal that Tarzan is preying on, unlike his usual prey. In fact, it looks like Tarzan misjudged his swing on the vine and will soon be hitting the ground.
I wondered this when it came up in the context of an earlier lion confrontation: how, exactly, does one repair a broken knife? (and where/when did he do it?)I think the “small animal” is a perspective issue. Tarzan is swinging down in the foreground toward his prey in the background, so the prey looks a lot smaller than it really is (and Tarzan looks a lot closer to the ground than he actually is).
Gee, and I thought humans were omnivores. I also thought apes were herbivores – with maybe a few insects mixed in the diet.-As to repairing the knife – all you need is a good welder, a grinder, a few welding clamps, some welding rods or wire, gas (depends on the type of welder), electricity, something to protect exposed skin (lotsa that), eye protection . . . did I forget anything? Or I suppose you could get the metal plastic hot, and hammer weld it back together. Hard to make the blade straight though.-TripToCabela’sAGowa!
@Fuddy Duddy, need to temper the blade after welding, quench, polish, sharpen the edge. Could have done all that in Crisp’s garage shop while Peter and Penny were doing the mambo. Ah, fresh wild pig, meat falls off the bones…
There look to be tendrils of smoke/flame in front of T’s feet – and the hog looks like it was also properly skinned before being laid in the embers – tasty fire-roasted young pork -
he stayed with Crisp at least!! 1.5 days, plenty of time to find materials to put new knife together, about him eating cooked… he learned to eat raw, but learned about cooked food from seeing tribes and saw it was better…………. later on with jane and others learned more about cooked foods, but he can eat raw meat when forced to

Growing up in the wild wouldn’t make your teeth or your tummy able to eat raw meat.
