When Rachel Maddow.msnbc.com asked Obama why he would want to be President in these awful times, he answered simply that people don’t like change and will only accept it during hard times. Obama got the highest percentage win from the demographic group making over $100,000/year!

DH Leaky…this is assuming that what Jimbo says about the $100,000+ group is true, and even if it is, it’s not only part of the story.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from the last 8 years of debating online with righties, it’s never, never, NEVER to accept any ‘fact’ they throw out at face value.

    As to Morin’s pic…

Didn’t I see this same gag in a Roadrunner cartoon once?

And how did THAT work out?

JK, Well “W” does need help. Simon_J, an added note, ever notice how a Conservative will quickly point out failures of their policys and immediately blame them on the “others”.

acellist, that’s great that we voted him in but we need to be ready to defend President-elect Obama from the right wing hate and fearfest that is already starting. I’m not advocating violence or vigilantism but we need to raise our voices to drown out the loud right wing minority.

And Obama recognizes the importance of education and has made it a priority. Hope he focuses on that big-time because it really the only way out of all this nonsense.

acellist, down here in Texas we have a saying that you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink so good luck trying to get those Republican know nothings into a library.

I thought conservatives were supposed to be paranoid, what’s with this group, what are your exscuses? Conservatives aren’t any more ignorant than liberals, and even the “enthusiastic” ones on this post have good and/or legitimate base-es for their opinions. It’s been going on for centuries now: centralism against statism, capitalism against communism, populism against elitism, individual rights versus collective obligations, whose morality makes the laws (Minority vs. Majority, Sacred vs. Secular), do you fight terrorists in world courts by police authority or by projection of military force, do you make capitalism freer or do you tariff or tax imports, free-market vs. governmental input… on and on you folks no these issues better than me… The good thing is we have a peaceful and practical method of deciding what to do and how to do it. The “bad” thing is we get to aggressively argue this stuff out(that’s actually a good thing too). As I already posted I say, “God bless Obama and the people of the U.S.”, we can make it work for the best no matter who is in power. And no I dont want TROGON2’s politically-corrected public Education.

acellist, if we want to improve the lower levels of education we progressives must be sure to turn out during those off year school board elections and get rid of those Republican know nothings already in office and to prevent more from perverting our kid’s knowledge.

Okay acellist what’s your real name and lets see the credentials that give you the right to analyze the deficiency of the current education system, or else go back to reading ‘toons. If you are telling the truth you are one of the people responsible for the decay of the education system. Pick somebody to represent you t might be more reliable- oh, you have - a man with no history and no creds himself- Who blames American for its own success.

Alright Mr.Cello - I really dont need name and creds from you - that was a rhetorical device designed to convey a larger idea, which I will have to explain again: If you are expecting perfection and a professional command of the language please go to your Democratic word-parsers who you are paying plenty to for the privelege. I, on the other hand, will calmly eat my cheesy doritos and comment on on these subjects and ‘toons as honestly and openly as I can. Thank you, sir or ma’am.

Humphries…what you have with NoFearPup is textbook, I mean textbook bullying behavior.

Comes swaggering in here, firing cheap shots, then when he gets called on it, he starts whining about how everyone else is being soooo unfair to HIM.

Better get used to this, Tuff Dawg. The days of us Progressives just sitting back and taking your flack are o-VER!
