I sleep flat on my back, with my hands folded on my chest, and one foot tucked under the opposite knee. Hubby says that when I die, all they’ll need to do it straighten out my leg and drop me into my coffin.
Now I lay me down to sleep, with a bag of peanuts at my feet.If I should die before I wake,I leave them to my Uncle Jake. The wife and I visited Austria nine years ago. Touring one of the ancient castles, the guide told us that the residents, especially the guards, slept sitting on the edge of the bed, their backs propped up against the bedpost. Why not sleep in the bed, like we do? Superstition: The only people they saw sleeping stretched out in a bed were dead.
