Whoever is doing it, apparently doesn’t bother to look and see what has been posted. How clever. :-(

Well, that answers yesterday’s question of whether the background was part of the comic’s punch line.

BTW, if you go back a date, yesterday’s comic now appears in its usual form.

There is a negative feel about this strip.

I thought we had an understanding and patched things up yesterday but it appears my cartoon has gone over to the dark side again today. I’ll try cheering it up, and see if we can’t feel a little brighter. Sorry about this. I’ve sent emails to the usual suspects and expect a reply as soon as they wakey wake.

Why are you printing a negative image of the comic? . . . It has a very dark background.

Is not that how you all feel when you visit the shrink. I think it adds the right touch.

Even the fix is off color. Keeps me on my toes though. Hang in there, we’ll get through this together!

The color scheme looks great. It is a comic strip after all.

GI Joe may be on to something with his note about CMYK vs RGB. The colour palette of the comic over the last two days is definitely different (more florid) than in the earlier panels.

About a 6 weeks ago my G4 died after I tried to install RAM that I’d bought from China off ebay. The Mac is 14 years old, and I’ve upgraded the processor and added RAM (store-bought) over the years but I thought I could squeeze another few years out of the beast by doubling the RAM. Turns out my baby had little appetite for the bargain basement stuff and shut down in a way that made me believe it had passed on to a better place. Turns out the “new RAM” use not new but likely pulled out of an exploding server at the last second (or a garbage dump) and so I can’t blame my Mac. I still had to get my batch sent in and so used my MBP to do the job. Using my failing memory (my RAM needs an upgade) to remember the proper PS settings, I got both the compression method and color profiles wrong. This caused the cascading failure this week. My G4 is now back and II’ve resent the April batch. The color is now corrected (on the above cartoon, I’ve taken the blame for the screw-up, and asked for forgiveness, so we’ll just see what tomorrow brings.

Speaking of CYMK. I normally send in CYMK for print and send RBG for online. Now I’m being told to just send in the CYMK and they’ll convert it. I think this is so the zoom will work better. Now that I know this, I’ve adjusted my colors to look better online. I like how the final one looks today, we’ll see. Sometimes a screw up ends up being a good chance to tweak things.
