I remember when I visited the Museum Of Natural History in NYC with my class, there was an African bronze(?) bust of a woman in a headress, bust and all— and that bare bust was polished to a bright shine from all the hands.
Good ploy, Moondog! Just hope you didn’t frighten the kid into peeing all over the floor and maybe the display! (I worked one summer in a major natural history museum at a variety of tasks, though not as a guard; I did have to interact with kids, though, in a number of capacities.)
Nit picking here: The totem is from the northwest, mostly in Canada (province of BC). The traditional colours are black red and white with very little, if any, other colour. This totem just doesn’t look right to me.
