I’m amazed this is even a story. Are we now going to get a series of others’ preferences and proclivities in their personal lives? I preferred when sports were about competitive games.

I’m confused, Fredgold. My observation regarding the military had to do with having seen hundreds of soldiers wearing shirts with the names of their teams and favorite players. It doesn’t matter to me what a person’s sexual orientation is as long as that person is not a predator. Back in the ’60’s we knew who swung to a different drummer, male and female, but in those days of ‘Nam, they just didn’t say anything openly. A couple of those “gay guys” btw turned out to be true heros, tremendous courage, one of them didn’t survive because of that. Pre-judge, is prejudice, pretty simple.
At the same time, why is a guy who treats women like chattel, using them and throwing them away, or even keeping ‘em in the barn (like fundamentalist Mormon sects), get called a “jock”, and a woman who’s as non-selective is a slut??
Which, why do so many judge athletes, “jocks”, as so manly, even in all that lycra and dancing in the end zone, but those same hero worshippers are so commonly among, or leading behind the scenes, the drive to screw over our troops and veterans?? I guess it must be “don’t ask, don’t tell”??
God’s opinion of America’s embracing legal and cultural “legitimacy” of gross sins, IMO, has begun with the troublesome weather. Revelation chapters 4-19 outline the soon to come wrath of God on sinners who refuse to admit and change from living in open sin against the Holy Creator of Mankind who gave us His lifestyle rules, the principles taught in Moses’ Law. Americans enjoying License to Sin instead of Freedom to choose God’s approval will bring punishment on our nation. America looks more and more like Sodom and Gomorrah, to the horror of those of us who are Bible believers in God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ who paid the debt of sin on the Cross for our eternal benefit, and must watch so many trample that Holy blood shed for them to turn from sin and live for God who loves and blesses every born-again Child of God.
