Parents don’t mind exchanging stories about their kids, but we had to rein it in with some dear friends who chose to not have kids. We found it too easy to babble on. Figured it out before out older child was 3, so we did ok.
If their son is so perfect, I just wonder why they haven’t introduced Emmy Lou to him. Although, maybe she’s already met him in school and doesn’t want anything to do with him.
