Ellen: Sob! why don't any boys like me? (cheesy emotional music playing) Ellen's Friend: it could be number of reasons!.. There's your personality, your wardrobe, your face, your breath.. Ellen: there must be someone in the school who'll go out with me! Ellen's friend: there's one possibility! "weird Ed" the ugliest guy in school! Ellen: i have no pride! i'll do it! (5 minutes later) ... Ellen: Ed... would you like to take me to the dance on friday? Ugly Ed: No, thanks. im ugly. not desperate! (Ed's face is censored) Ellen: Wait! Ed... come bac...... Nate: Uh, Ellen? Ellen: In the flesh.

Ellen’s..uh..caricature in the beginning panels is a parody of Jimmy Durante’s caricature in the Brown Derby (look it up). Anyone notice that?
