I envy those people whom are skilled with their hands, my deceased father could take apart anything, work out what the problem was and fix it economically.
I never, ever try to fix anything, because on the rare past occasions I tried to fix something I ended causing further damage or not being able to reassemble something that I failed to fix.
Now I simply ask a trusted competent neighbour or friend to help if they can’t handle the job, I then call a professional
