There is wrong and there is insensitive. Just because what you say may be empirically correct, does not mean you should give voice to your thoughts. Though I don’t think Tina meant to hurt her friend, the end result of her comment was to do so. Sometimes a friend just needs to hold his/her tongue.

Tina really didn’t say anything wrong. Mallory has to get over her self or lose some weight if she doesn’t like the way she is.
