Actually close “Gitmo”, stop the drone strikes, tell NSA to back off (even if courts DO say it’s “A-Okay”), get ACA functioning (by getting Republicans to shut up and DO something to improve it, not repeal it), yep, I’d have some suggestions of things he’s done, or not, that I disagree with.

But, his poll numbers are still WAY HIGHER than Congress trapped in the TEA slimed swamp of obstructionism. He’s also still higher than “Baby Bush”. Getting us OUT of wars, instead of into them, has been a pretty good priority in 2013, and he’s actually worked it, despite constant harassment from the “loyal opposition”, which hasn’t been the least bit loyal to the nation at large, let alone to the obligations of the Executive branch under the Constitution! (Yeah, right, that “unitary Executive” of Bush/Cheney made the conservative heart beat warm, but heaven help any Democrat who tries the same thing!)

I’m a little surprised his numbers have dropped as much as they have. Obama has a base who worships him regardless of what he says or does. This can be said for most presidents, both parties, but even more so for Obama. I honestly believe if he declared martial law, suspended the constitution, and appointed himself king, 30% of the populations would drop to thier knees and swoon.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama’s job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove (see trends).

The latest figures include 24% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 40% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16.

Presumably Breen is preparing a second cartoon mocking the GOP for having even lower approval ratings than Obama. Or is he not interested in fair commentary?
