Hmm, this time a “bipartisan bill” that nobodies apparently read in full? Okay, that IS true of 99% of bills passed by Congress, but it is interesting all the “cuts” only hit the little guys, and the “small potato” spending that doesn’t impact corporate profits, especially in the MIC.
Who here knows the oldest age the military will take for anyone’s first-time enlistment attempt? Re-enlistment after being separated from the service for 5-10 years or more? Is there a maximum number of enlistees the military can handle? What about people with physical disabilities? Will they be accepted?
Complete consensus to let extended unemployment expire, and to repeal the sequester on military expenditures. You had me ready to go on another diatribe with that comment about repealing the military sequester. $60 billion is restored over 2014/2015, evenly divided between military & domestic programs. If we had drone’s back in Zero-ish AD, the Three Wise Men might never have delivered their packages…
They knew what was in the ACA bill. Pelosi said that long before it was finalized, and they spent months debating what was in it. Give it a rest. What DOESN’T get read is these last minute budget extensions, because of the failure of GOP to pass a budget and debate it in conference. That’s how we get extra money for locks on the Ohio river for McConnel, and money for floods in Colorado (though I’m thankful for that, the House won’t pass disaster aid openly any more).
