as most of signups for O’care are being shunted into Medicaid (state responsibility) and Washington state is putting the vast majority into Medicaid and the feds only pay a doctor $4 per visit for Medicaid patients….of course any sane doctor that paid fortunes for a medical education can be expected to stop taking Medicaid patients.

That’s what I want, a Dr. who chose his profession for the monetary rewards.

We are short on doctors to keep up with the added workload of folks signing up for ACA, or so the articles say. However, considering my mom’s doctor being paid by Medicaid and Supplemental for his “visits” (often actually his P.A.s) is getting his full billing between Medicaid and her supplemental, which is paid out of her Social Security check, her only income.

Workload may be having doctors turning down new patients, the there’s no rationale for saying it’s because they aren’t being paid enough. Now, folks NOT getting SS, or SSI, and without employer assisted health insurance, as in NO insurance? Maybe a little.

Another point here: while DOCTOR numbers are down, folks aren’t paying attention to how many folks are now seen by Physicians Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and others in the “medical community” that insurance companies like because costs are reduced (even though premiums are NOT!).

“I don’t think disgustedtaxpayer meant it so, but her post is a real insult to the physicians I know…and I know a lot of them.”-All of dt’s posts are intended to express hatred for Obama. Anything beyond that is superfluous.

Seeing a real doctor will become rare. Lots of doctors have decided not to accept any new Medicare patients. They obviously will not be accepting Obama and Medicaid patients.

My doctor is in. Nearly all of the doctors in the region are in, but a couple of minor “stabilize and transport” hospitals have been left out. But that’s not about Obamacare — that’s about insurance companies hoping to sabotage Obamacare.

Actually this was a fictional movie called Lone Star and it was Texas not Alaska.

Why do we need “new” doctors? Mine is in the network. I think just about every doctor in the region is in. More rightwing Big Lie attacks on a law that works, even if the website is balky.

Hmmm, if you really wanted fewer abortions, I’d think you’d want the most education about and easiest access to birth control. -I don’t remember whether you’ve taken a position about that. -And, yeah, Republican/Fox “news” viewers hatred of Obama began the day after he was elected, before he was inaugurated. Led and financed by the Koch Brothers.

Deering should revisit this strip after rereading his Dec 10 cartoon. Maybe the ACA is possible…
