Personally, I accept that climate change occurs. What I don’t buy for a New York minute is Gorebal Warming. That is, the argument that the primary, or only, cause of climate change is anthroprogenic CO2 and that we must ’control carbon."This is the irrational position of the patron saint of Gorebal Warming Al (I failed science in college) Gore and associated politically motivated idiots like the IPCC.
It’s called “winter.” Happens every year — you may recall, if you managed to retain a thought that long. The increased variability of the weather and higher severity of storms, however — that IS at least partially attributable to the fact of global warming.
Looking forward to predicted snow a couple days after Thanksgiving, our water year is way down and we live off a well, and groundwater. We’ve been “warmer” overall, and in drought the last six years, need more cold, and snow!!
I started off Baslim with a non-political, if a bit ascerbic, comment. Adrian, then Ahab of the Progressive Left turned it political, as they must, but I understood that. My secondary comment was only a statement of personal position not one on the cartoon so please do not lump me into your assertion as I can enjoy a politically neutral cartoon like this one..In any case, if the weather where you live is terrible and you don’t like it I suggest buying luggage!
The ’toon is about the fact that much-needed storms, snow, and rain, might screw up holiday travel plans, which is what the “news” has been going on about for a couple days now.
Like the IPCC has been right. From rising temperatures to the himalayan glacers, to “millions of climate refugees” the IPCC has been perpetually wrong. As that group is funded by and part and parcel of the UN, it is political. And, by extension, as the UN is rife with idiots so is the IPCC. That is my opinion. The people on that committee are not "bad’ people. They are just stupid. And, it is not just me that disagrees with them. Few nations have acted on any of their recommendations and I don’t think many will anytime soon either.
