If one wants to find someone more “personality deficient” than the stereotypical accountant I would look for an actuary This is an insurance related field but never dealing with public, just the “law of large numbers.”
Having been once married to an accountant, I can attest t the fact that they have a very good sense of humor ( This one had to, she was married to me for 20 years. ).One of the sharpest, funniest guys I knew was a licensed insurance actuary – until he discovered that he could make much more money in Las Vegas as an odds maker for one of the leading sports bookies.
