So typical for Agnes: finding one boot and starting daydreaming about a future as a “cowperson”. I love her for that. Imagination is very valuable.

Wow. Talk about a flood of old memories coming back.. Richard Boone as The Paladin, Bonanza, The Rifleman, Rawhide, Gunsmoke, Johnny Yuma was a rebel… Ooh, take me back to be six again, sitting in front of the black and white TV with a box of cracker jacks, and our dog Pepper.

Just one more….when I was five or six I lived in cowboy boots. Kindly relatives also supplied me with a black cowboy hat with white hatband. My dear grandmother on my mother’s side, while concerned that I would not grow up a proper lady, sent me my second pair of cowboy boots one year for a birthday. I appreciated her gesture more as I got older.
