Good morning Vagabonds.Yesterday morning I had about 3 inches of wet, heavy snow in my driveway. I used my snow blower to clear it except for some slush that was left, as it was supposed to go to 42 and melt, but instead it went down to about 25 and froze. Today it is only supposed to get to 25 from about 15. Looks like winter has arrived.

Only thing to do is stay indoors and be warm.

Hope all have a good day.

Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday my genealogy society had a party in the beautiful home of the president of our society. The hostess was a Cuban-born lady who converted to Judaism and then traced her ancestry back on the maternal side 15 generations to Jews who secretly practices Judaism after the Spanish government forced them to become Catholic in the 15th century. She is the author of a interesting book, “My Fifteen Grandmothers.”

Morning, Vagabonds. The chapter I’m reading now has no action. Called, “Law Versus Order,” it deals with the ethical issues involved in the situation of Earp’s Vendetta Ride. Earp’s actions were at a time when the system just simply broke down. The gangsters controlled everything. There was simply no way to prosecute the evil doers. So Earp took the law in his own hands. The entire nation was enthralled by the matter while it was going on, as newspapers coast to coast gave running updates and daily editorials. The Democratic newspapers continued to decry Earp’s actions and advocated the matter of due process. Law must prevail. The Republican newspapers continued to counter those arguments by declaring that Order was more important. When Law is prevalent, Order diminishes. When Order dominates, Law is suppressed. It is a really loaded issue. The author’s summation of the matter is, “Wyatt Earp cannot be defended, but he can be understood.”

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

It got up to 50 yesterday!!!! Only tiny traces of snow left from the big freeze. That was a nasty one. According to our local weather guy, we’ll be getting another big freeze by the week end. The position of the jet streams allow the frigid air from Siberia to flow over the pole, and down to the States for an Arctic Blast. Supposedly we’ll be getting a few this winter.

Gorgeous colorful sunrise this morning! Have a great week, everyone.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

Pretty nice weather here, too. We’ve hot a high pressure system parked overhead which gives us clear skies, temps in the 60’s and no wind. Overnight didn’t get below about 40. A relief after freezing temps for a couple of weeks.
