PS: Yesterday I found that I had not read the comics from the day before and therefore had to read to days’ worth of comics. Has this happened to any Vagabonds who forgot to read GoComics from the day before?
Boy Arye, you no sooner land than you’re on the party circuit. No wonder you’re tired all the time.
Going to be cold today and tomorrow, but not as low as it will be where dkram lives. Then a snow storm from Sat. evening to Sun. evening, but they won’t guess how much. It may cancel a diner that six of us are having at my daughter’s house Sun.
Morning, Vagabonds. I read the chapter that described the hearing which followed the OK Corral shootout. It’s a fascinating story. You have one group of over-zealous policemen in a situation dominated by a gang of thieves, rustlers, and murderers. The policemen are determined to bring law and order. The gangsters refuse to surrender. It had to hit the fan eventually, and when it did, a community was divided over it. Many thought the Clantons had been murdered in cold blood. Others upheld the Earps for their fierce determination. The hearing went on for weeks and the debate continues to this day.
Howdy do Vagabonds..The sun is shining and the temp. is right around 0..You are right woodworker, the kingdom can be a nippy place.Waiting for the next Siberian Express to roar through..It’s still not cold yet, that comes in January and February..Guess I’ll move along now..Have fun..ttfn
Our cold snap is history for now. Glad to pass it on to the rest of the country! Only need to go out with a jacket…..no need to wear woolies and hats and scarves. Hurray!
Finished our Christmas shopping yesterday, so we only have two packages to mail today. Woo Hoo!
All of my comments for the past week seem to have disappeared. I have no idea whether or not I told you I have found the Susan Lucci version of “A Christmas Carol”. It is called “A Christmas Miracle: Ebbie’s Story”. The review I read of it said that the producers did not even give Charles Dickens any credit for the story at all. It has been shipped to me, but I haven’t gotten it yet.
Rita, you can pre-order season 4 of Downton Abbey on Amazon right now. It won’t ship until the end of January, though. I guess they learned their lesson – I got my copy of season 3 before PBS had broadcast all of the episodes.
We have our Annual Christmas Party over in the clubhouse tonite 6-8 PM . The staff always has the tree up & decoratednow as I/we used to do it ourselfs. Going to have dinner &refreshments ( beer & wine for moi) and everything is free.
Each year our community here, gives back to the “Community” in the town for local families in need. Sooas usual I’ll pick a gift tag off the tree, shop and return the wrapped item upon completion. It’s a nice way for us @ Effingham Parc to give to the community for families in need.
Mid 60’s only here, brr, Sat. may get near 70, I hope

Good morning, Vagabonds. Tonight I plan to go to my Mexican friend’s annual Advent party which will be followed by a Mariachi concert.
