Corsairs (some of them, anyway) had odd bubble canopies which bulged up from the dorsal line. Just a guess on my part but, Corsairs have long noses, and the pilot’s seat might be high for the sake of visibility. I’ve seen film footage of Corsairs landing on British aircraft carriers, and they had to approach in a really pronounced side-slip because the pilots couldn’t see over the nose. A British sailor commented on the show, that every landing “seemed a sure crash.”-TooMuchTVAGowa!

Tony better hope he’ll just be a prisoner once he turns over those jewels, his chances aren’t too great. And that J-word, very non PC these days.

Shades of the old aviation stories from 1930s.

“[T]o fool the Japs?” Ow! Does no one proofread these strips at the syndicate? Even in 1964 this language was frowned upon.
