If you ever left a Twinkie in your car or desk drawer and forgot about it you can appreciate the roof comment.

“I wasn’t trying to attract small abandoned children to eat, I just had a candy theme.”.(I have read the practice of intentionally loosing excess children in the wilderness was widespread at one time – like the Chinese practice of tossing them in the river or the Greek method of leaving Oedipus in the field for wolves to eat, also practiced by Hutus and Tutsis in Rwanda following the time of madness. I even learned of one relative who had it done to him, except he was left near a childless couple who took him in.).Hear a fairy tale ere sleeping and have sweet dreams

I too have to wonder about the color here. I never understood the obsession with having all comics in full color all the time. For generations the dailies were black and white, and readers seemed fine with it. Maybe someone believes our imaginations are smaller now. Just as all animation had better look 3D- or no one will be able to understand it. But come one, if they’re going to insist on adding color, could they at least read the gag so they have a clue what colors to use?

Speaking of color, I was watching the “Commentary” section of the Star Trek the Cartoon.

Apparently, the Colorist at Filmation where the cartoon was produced was color-blind.

Hence, you got Pink Tribbles and Klingons wearing Pink uniforms.

It was too late to get it fixed by the time the prints came back, so they just went with it.

What would an evil storybook witch care about a normal colored roof? Anyway, her house is supposed to be deep in the woods, where glare wouldn’t as much of a problem.
