Conservgov, you seem to have missed the hidden point, by encouraging all of the illegal aliens to register with various government programs you can easily compile a list of who and where they are. Then at a time of your choice you can Round them all up and move them out Rawhide style (one massive trail drive SOUTH along I-5).

Legislatures, at all levels are “graded” for “effectiveness” on how many bills they pass in a session. This IS irrelevant to reality. They need to be judged on QUALITY of what they pass, not QUANTITY. The complaint against long-winded bills IS justified, because in the U.S. House under Republican control, the “average” bill they’ve put together has been about 88% “riders”, or clauses having nothing to do with the alleged purpose of the bills, and everything to do with paying off their political contributors. Democrats aren’t hardly innocent, but since Reagan started the idiot flow revolution, the massive abuse of the American people, in favor of corporations and the wealthy few, has come, from the right. NO, it is NOT just “W”, it goes back a lot further, but the same people have long been pulling the strings on their marionettes.

The average project dweller is up to over $39,000 a year at the tax payers expense. Why work?Print more money faster.Claim the economy is improving.Make the unemployment rate go down by not counting half of them any more.Yea the easily duped will believe it.What could go wrong? The claim of $39k in benefits is pure nonsense. The Cato Institute took every program they felt was ‘welfare’ & added the costs, then divided by number of households under the poverty line. Much of what they called ‘welfare’ is spent on the elderly & disabled. The number of households receiving the maximum amount of benefits is much smaller than this claim pretends, but the number of middle class households receiving benefits is much higher. The actual average total of benefits received by households in the lowest 20% of income is $8,800. Most of the spending goes towards kids.http://cbo.gov/sites/default/files/cbofiles/attachments/43934-Means-TestedPrograms.pdf Calling anyone who gets aid a “project dweller” sounds like your buying into racist fiction. We spend far more on non-project dwelling white families.

Using the phrase, “tea bagger” is a habit that TM needs to break. “Selfish riders” was not his choice of words, it was PAJ’s. I seem to remember some guy using the phrase, “there you go again” in a debate. Can’t remember who, but I think he used to be Governor of California. Those are classic comments of a person who feels that the only way to make himself look good is to make the other person look bad.Other than trying to find every possible way to take offense at TM’s choice of words, you haven’t actually addressed his point. PAJ has actually been doing a great job of actually giving his opinions rather than going for cheap shots. He made a fine response to TMs post. And as usual, you have nothing to say about someone using the phrase ‘dumacrats’ right at the top of the thread.

‘“Hey Pedro, we want to make sure you can comfortably get to work for that job you stole from an American”.’-So why not prosecute whoever hired him? Republicans/Fox “news” viewers are strenuously anti illegal immigrant, but want NO restraints on whoever hires them.

So, does this mean that you are a Fox “news” viewer?-If so, are you strenuously anti-illegal immigrants?-And, you believe those who hire them should be prosecuted?-And while you’re at it, is Ted Cruz constitutionally eligible to be president? Your fellow Fox “news” viewers are curiously silent about that issue.

So let me make sure I understand you: You want to make sure that illegal aliens would have absolutely no chance of having a job. That would of course force all of them and their families to self-deport.

    Ok then we agree.

“The actual average total of benefits received by households in the lowest 20% of income is $8,800. "- – -That was 2006.Contrary to conservative wisdom, the benefits have been falling since the 1990s. http://www.cbpp.org/cms/?fa=view&id=3943More people are relying on them, which I’m sure we both agree is not a good thing. Despite the frequent assertion that liberals want more people dependent on government hand outs, I know of none who desire that. As far as reposting to TM about using ‘tea baggers’, I don’t see the need to say the same thing twice. I assume he will see it if he revisits the thread.

Now, now… be nice Ahab. I believe Ansonia doesn’t interact with liberals much outside of these forums. Maybe she will never come to believe that we don’t want to create the Peoples’ Republic of America, but there’s always hope.
