I’m still paying for the time I moved the waterbed in front of the closet in my wife’s dream. That was a good 15 years ago.

I thought Opal was raggin’ on him for something he’d done on their honeymoon, lo these many years ago. Elephants never forget, and neither do some people.

That’s your story and you’re sticking to it but how much was the fine for indecent exposure?

A bath towel would be to small, Opal would need a beach towel…

Years ago my daughter and her then boyfriend went on a cruise. After an evening of dancing and partying, they retired to their cabin. Sometime in the middle of the night, the call of nature awakened her companion. Half-asleep and in the dark, he opened what he assumed was the bathroom door. Only after stepping through and having it shut and lock on him, did he realize that he was standing in the corridor in the suit he was born in.Pounding on the door to rouse my daughter did no good. That girl could sleep through a hurricane. Of course no steward in sight. Eventually, the two elderly ladies in the cabin next door, arrived from the casino or midnight buffet or whatever, and provide assistance with a towel and calling the cabin steward for him…After one of them had taken several pictures of the poor embarrassed guy on her cell phone !My daughter slept through the whole incident and didn’t believe him , until she saw the ladies giggling at him, the next day.

I’ve had a couple dreams where my husband did something that incensed me, and when I told him about the dreams, he said, “I’d never do that!” I told him I hoped so… but I didn’t get mad. I save getting mad for the things he actually does.

My mom would have dreams where she would thrash and murmur, my dad woke her up once and she hit him, she was trying to hit the hairy monster that was chasing her

“Thugs and thickos”.Yes they do exist but the school I went to in this country (UK) was staffed with teachers who didn’t know how to get kids motivated…..except one and he was Canadian. When he left we all contributed to a present (unasked) and even went to visit him.

Well, it was the kind of thing Earl WOULD do! That’s adequate reason to be piffed at him.

Someone in my dorm in college had that sort of happen to her, but it was more by her own choice. The fire alarm went off (as per usual) while she was in the shower, and she decided to skip trying to find clothes. So she wasn’t actually locked out, but she was standing outside the building with 20 other people for 20 minutes wrapped in just a towel.

A guy I knew was traveling in Turkey and probably in an unfamiliar location when he found himself locked out of his hotel room one night in nothing but his birthday suit. I suspect he had been drinking but his only recourse as I recall was to report to the front desk.

I was in the hospitality industry for many years. We definitely had our share of embarrassing lock-outs. Most of them deliberate, as the result of an argument. Negotiations for reentry were sometimes difficult and required from either myself or my staff all the finesse of a diplomat , a psychiatrist, a policeman, and a priest rolled into one.
