Well,,,,, it IS a bit less violent than the Gladiatorial Games of ancient Rome were!And what American males (and not a few females as well) not seen themselves getting through the line, and running free down the field to a “Touchdown!!” to the screams and approbation of the crowds?Of course, by the time you are in your seventies as I am, it no longer seems quite so important anymore……sigh!
