How, it’s not that one “minor behaviour”; it’s the cumulative effect of dozens of repetitions of it daily and the fact that the sneaky little witch is doing it again (behind Mom’s back) and getting away with it that triggers his response.
as the oldest of 4 I always had to put up the crap from the other 3 especially my youngest brother. When he would do something that he knew was wrong and we tried to tell on him he would scream so mom couldn’t hear what we were saying and the scream always got the same reaction from my mom “y’all leave him alone, he’s the baby” or “give it to him he’s the baby”…….well that “baby” will be 60 in June 2014 and is still a brat and ALWAYS in trouble and expecting us to bail him out. NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
She needs to have some consequences for her behavior but probably won’t happen.
I don’t think it’s always the youngest, but there does seem to be one kid who causes trouble for the others more often. I always wanted to be friends with my older sister, yet she was so mean to me. I tolerated it until I was a teenager and gave up on her. She’s still mean to this day.
My sister and I were like this. We would fight like cats and dogs sometimes. There were a few injuries along the way. Once we got past those years, we became best of friends and still are.

As the older kid, I was always told to ignore the younger. Not always easy to do when you really want to throttle them!

My middle child is the one who like to cause trouble, he argues with his older brothers and likes to torment his younger sisters.

If they can’t be polite to each other, they can go to their rooms. If that means they pretty much live in their bedrooms, so be it.
