We miss that wonderful smell, too, but it’s against our ordinance to burn leaves…………………Anyone remember when a roof was being tarred in your neighborhood and running to get a piece and chew? And, we are still alive.

grrr put them and the leaves into a bit, and let ‘em burn...Speaking of Leaves … what NHL is #1 in the league? oh yeah, Toronto Maple Leafs. No, I am NOT getting my hopes up. Just pointing out facts. :P Leafs are #1 in league, for the first time in a LONG LONG time. I know, it won’t hold out. ..@Shikamoo – I go to Seneca College.

My “wash and hang out the bed sheets” day is Saturday, so is burn day in the town. :-(

Welcome to the club. I remember driving down from Huntington Beach to go to the zoo, No Freeway! You turned “at the cliff” to head inland, and then up the hill to the zoo. That is how my Dad went.

Where do the leaves come from?

Years ago after a party my next door neighbor just raked the leaves and trash from the party which was all over the ground into a ditch and set it on fire. Well there was a lot of soda cans in the mix. When the fire got going really good the aluminum cans acted as an oxidizer. It looked like a rocket engine ground test going on in the ditch. My neighbor flipped out as he did not have a clue as to what was going on. All I could do was to laugh about it
