just for people with the opinions held by the majority of Americans…

If you were paying attention, you’d notice them standing up and urging Obama NOT to attack. Just as we did with Bush. I have participated in exactly the same number of protests and written the same number of letters and signed petitions now as then. The difference is, A) Obama did not commit troops, and B) he might actually listen to the people.

“No one dares level the same amount of insults or disrespect to Obama that Bush received for choosing to invade Iraq.”Nonsense. People aren’t worked up as much because Obama was losing his campaign to act in Syria. Not much need to get worked up, but he has faced plenty of vocal opposition:JOHN STEWART: Oh right, we have to bomb Syria because we’re in seventh grade! And the red line, the red line that they crossed is actually a dick-measuring ribbon.RUSH LIMBAUGH: Bush had shock and awe. We’re looking at shuck and jive here. That’s what I’m going to name this, the Obama operation in Syria — Operation: Shuck and Jive.Plenty more where that came from.In 2002-2003, Bush was much more successful in gaining support from the public & from Congress. The few of us that tried to explain why the invasion was a bad idea, (WMDs claims were unlikely, sectarian divisions would explode in violence, Iran would be free to operate with Saddam gone), were ridiculed & called traitors.After it turned out the WMDs were imaginary & the invasion was a bungled mess, Bush’s reputation was a mess. Who’s fault was that?

This manifests absolutely no sense.

WE, as a people, should mandate that only women or people of color should be elected president, then we will actually debate the value of sending our children off to war.

I agree that parties need shaking up and the money needs to be cleaned out of the system, but once you chose to harm another and deny the laws of the country (ie get convited of a felony crime) you really don’t deserve a say in it’s governing any more.

How about:You don’t work, you don’t voteIf you take government handouts, you don’t voteIf you can’t read the ballot, you don’t voteIf you are a hippy college professor who has never had a real job, you don’t vote
